RPF RESCUES 120 CHILDREN UNDER “OPERATION NANHE FARISHTE”

Hyderabad, May 14 (RAHNUMA): Railway Protection Force under South Central Railway rescued 120 children during April 2026 as part of “Operation NANHE FARISHTE”, aimed at protecting children found separated from families or in distress during railway travel.

The rescued children included 96 boys and 24 girls, who were later handed over to Child Welfare Committees.

The RPF also reported major achievements under multiple security operations during April:

– Under “Operation YATRI SURAKSHA”, 79 offenders were arrested and stolen property worth Rs.54.52 lakh recovered.

Under “Operation AMANAT” helped return 319 lost passenger belongings valued at Rs.83.35 lakh.

Under “Operation NARCOS”, ganja worth Rs.86.17 lakh was seized and 16 persons arrested.

Under “Operation AAHT” rescued five boys from human trafficking and led to the arrest of two traffickers.

Under “Operation SATARK” – resulted in seizure of illegal liquor worth Rs.2.47 lakh transported through trains.

“Operation UPLABDH” led to 24 cases against railway ticket touts and arrest of 26 persons.

CCTV surveillance helped recover stolen passenger property worth Rs.26.65 lakh.

“Operation RAIL SURAKSHA” detected 36 cases involving theft of railway property worth Rs.6.03 lakh.
