Hyderabad, Jan.2 (RAHNUMA): The 195th birth anniversary of Savitribai Phule on January 3, 2026, will be observed across the State as “Women Teachers’ Day, as per a government directive.
District Collectors have been asked to organise district-level celebrations and felicitate 10 best women teachers from government, local body, KGBV and model schools, covering cadres from Head Master to Secondary Grade Teacher.
Public representatives, community leaders, and teachers’ associations will be invited for the felicitation programmes. Expenses will be met from funds available with the District Educational Officer. The initiative honours Savitribai Phule’s pioneering role in women’s education.
