Hyderabad, July 17 (RAHNUMA): The Telangana Prohibition and Excise department has permitted extended operating hours for bars, clubs, tourism hotels, and microbreweries in the Core Urban Region (CURE) to facilitate public viewing of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Third Place Play-off and Final.
As per orders issued by Commissioner of Prohibition & Excise C Hari Kiran, licensed 2B-Bars, C1-Clubs, TD1 and TD2 (Tourism development corporation) establishments, and microbreweries can remain open till 4.30 am on the intervening night of July 18 & 19 for the third-place play-off and till 3 am on the intervening night of July 19 & 20 for the FIFA World Cup final.
The permission applies only to licensed establishments located within the Telangana Core Urban Region (CURE). Excise officials in Greater Hyderabad, Cyberabad, Malkajgiri, Hyderabad, Secunderabad, LB Nagar, Qutubullapur and Serilingampally have been directed to ensure implementation of the orders while enforcing all applicable excise rules.
