TELANGANA’s MEHRUNISHA BAGS GOLD AT INDIA SKILLS 2026

Hyderabad, April 4 (RAHNUMA): In a proud moment for Telangana, Mehrunisha Begum has secured the Gold Medal in the Logistics and Freight Forwarding category at the prestigious IndiaSkills Competition 2026, organized by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India.

Mehrunisha Begum is currently employed at Cargoman Logistics and is an alumna of Begumpet Degree College. Her achievement follows a rigorous multi-level selection process, progressing through district, state, and regional rounds before reaching the national stage.

The leadership of Telangana congratulated Mehrunisha Begum on this remarkable accomplishment, recognizing it as a reflection of the state’s strong focus on skill development, youth empowerment, and industry-aligned training.

Telangana continues to enhance its logistics and supply chain ecosystem through strong infrastructure, progressive policies, and investor-friendly initiatives. The state is focused on improving connectivity, expanding logistics parks and warehousing, and enabling seamless supply chain operations to support manufacturing growth and industrial expansion.

The IndiaSkills Competition serves as a national platform to promote hands-on learning, industry-relevant skills, and global benchmarking. Open to youth below 22 years of age, it also acts as a gateway to the WorldSkills Competition, where top performers represent India internationally.

Mehrunisha Begum’s achievement stands as an inspiration to aspiring youth and reinforces Telangana’s vision of building a skilled, future-ready workforce.
