
Hyderabad, July 21 (RAHNUMA): Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited ( TGSPDCL) Chairman and Managing Director ( CMD) Jitesh V. Patil stated that the power distribution company is committed to providing quality, reliable and uninterrupted power supply to support industrial growth.
The company will accord top priority to resolving electricity-related issues faced by industries in a timely manner, he said. The CMD participated in a review meeting with representatives of the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) Energy Committee in Hyderabad on Tuesday, where he interacted with industry representatives and received their suggestions and feedback on various issues.
The meeting discussed several key issues affecting industries, including frequent power interruptions in industrial areas, electricity billing issues, timelines for providing new power connections, phase-wise sanction of transformers for approved layouts, availability of electrical equipment, cross subsidy surcharge on captive power consumers, and the need for greater awareness regarding the documentation required for new electricity connections.
Industry representatives requested TGSPDCL to enhance the reliability of power supply, simplify consumer services, ensure prompt grievance redressal, and expedite the process of providing new electricity connections.
Speaking on the occasion, Jitesh V. Patil stated that industrial development is vital for the economic growth of the State and that TGSPDCL is making continuous efforts to ensure uninterrupted and quality power supply to industries without any inconvenience.
He assured the representatives that every issue and suggestion raised during the meeting would be examined positively and appropriate action would be taken for their resolution. The CMD further stated that such review meetings would be held regularly to strengthen coordination with industries and further improve electricity services.
