Hyderabad, May 11 (RAHNUMA): Former MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Monday called upon the cadres of Telangana Rakshana Sena (TRS) to organize a month-long “Flag Festival” across Telangana from May 20 to June 20, 2026, aimed at taking the party’s ideology and programmes to the grassroots level.
Addressing party workers in Hyderabad, Kavitha said the celebrations should be conducted from the State capital down to district headquarters, Assembly constituencies, mandal centres and villages, with TRS flags unfurled in every ward across the State. She urged cadres to extensively publicise the party’s “Panchajanya” principles announced during the party’s inception meeting and strengthen the party organisation at the grassroots.
Stating that Telangana continued to face several unresolved challenges even 12 years after State formation, Kavitha alleged that the promises associated with the Telangana movement, including “water, funds and jobs”, had not been fully realised. Various sections of society that had expected transformation after Statehood were now facing uncertainty and hardships, she added.
Calling for a renewed movement for the “reconstruction of Telangana”, Kavitha appealed to party leaders, activists and members of Telangana Jagruthi to ensure the success of the month-long programme.
