Siddipet, July 4 (RAHNUMA): Actor Vijay Deverakonda and former minister and BRS leader Thanneeru Harish Rao on Saturday visited the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Centre for Child Heart Care and Research in Kondapaka, Siddipet district, where they interacted with children undergoing treatment for congenital heart diseases.
Addressing a gathering, Vijay Deverakonda lauded Harish Rao as the “Lion of Siddipet”, recalling that the former minister had allocated land for the hospital during his tenure as Health Minister. He praised Harish Rao’s efforts in facilitating life-saving heart surgeries for underprivileged children, saying such leaders emerge only once in a generation. The actor expressed his immense happiness at participating in this special medical camp for children and witnessing Harish Rao’s public service firsthand.
Harish Rao said nearly 6,000 pediatric heart surgeries are performed annually through the hospital, with children from across the country receiving free treatment. He urged people to contribute to humanitarian causes, saying good deeds are the true legacy one leaves behind.
