Hyderabad, Sept.28 (NSS): Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has suggested that the woman should be identified as the owner of the house in the family digital card and the names and details of other family members should be kept on the back of the card.
The Chief Minister held a review regarding Family Digital Cards (FDC) at Secretariat here on Saturday.
On the occasion, a power point presentation was given on the study done by the officials who visited Rajasthan, Haryana, Karnataka and Maharashtra States from September 25 to 27 on the family digital cards.
The officials explained the details collected from the respective States in the design of the cards, advantages and disadvantages of the cards. Later, the Chief Minister gave many instructions to the officials on the design of family digital cards.
Revanth Reddy also suggested that families should be identified on the basis of data in existing ration, Rajiv Arogyashri, IT, agriculture and other welfare schemes.
He said the best aspects of the design and issuance of cards of other States should be adopted and the defects should be rectified.
“There is no need to collect unnecessary information like bank accounts and PAN cards,” Revanth Reddy suggested.
Later, the Chief Minister advised that two areas, one rural and one urban, should be selected as a pilot project out of 119 Assembly constituencies in Telangana.
Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Damodara Raja Narasimha and Ponnam Prabhakar, Advisor to Chief Minister Vem Narender Reddy, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari and other senior officials were present in the meeting.
