Hyderabad, Aug.4 (NSS): Cyberabad SOT Balanagar team along with Shamshabad police, TGANB team busted the trafficking of banned narcotic drugs marijuana alias ganja from Odisha to Maharashtra via Telangana State and nabbed five inter-State drug peddlers of Odisha & Karnataka and seized 803 kg of dry ganja, DCM container with chemical drums, four wheeler (all worth Rs 2,94,75,000./-) from their possession.
On August 3, 2024, acting on specific information, the sleuths of special operations team (SOT) Balanagar team along with Shamshabad police apprehended five interstate drug peddlers for transporting ganja from Odisha to Maharashtra via Telangana, viz., Somanatha Khara, Harade Sanjeev vittal Reddy, Jaga Suna, Sanjeev Kumar Hollappa Okare, Sunil Khosla and seized 803 kg dry ganja, one DCM container with chemical drums, one Ertiga four-wheeler and seven mobile phones (all worth of Rs 2,94,75,000/-).
Ramu of Dumbriguda, Araku (main supplier is absconding. Suresh Maruthi Patil of Dattanagar Talwali, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra (receiver and main peddler was absconding).
on August 3, while the accused reached Pedda Golconda ORR junction, SOT Cyberabad, Balanagar team and Shamshabad police apprehended them.
The teams worked under the supervision of D. Srinivas, DCP SOT, Cyberabad, B. Rajesh, DCP Shamshabad zone, P. Shobhan Kumar, Addl DCP SOT-ii, Cyberabad, K.S. Rao, ACP, Shamshabad, Shiva Kumar, Inspector, SOT Balanagar team along with K. Narendar Reddy, Inspector of police, Shamshabad and TGANB team made enormous efforts in apprehending the accused persons.
