Hyderabad, Aug.12 (NSS): Union Minister & BJP State president G. Kishan Reddy has urged everyone to hoist the tricolour flag at their homes in response to the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ programme. He and his wife hoisted the national flag at their residence in Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion, Kishan Reddy said for the last three years, the festival had been celebrated under the aegis of the Central government with the participation of all the people. Stating that 23 crore Indians have hoisted the national flag on their homes on the occasion of 75 years of Independence, he said everyone should take responsibility to continue this spirit till the upcoming Independence Day. “Voluntary organisations and student organisations took out tiranga rallies. We want to infuse new enthusiasm in the people,” he said and urged everyone to enthusiastically participate in this festival to preserve the unity of the country. The programme, which started across the country on August 9, will continue till August 15.
