Hyderabad, Oct.2 (NSS): BJP legislature party leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy today alleged that the State government was not in a position to give assurance to the farmers of Telangana.
Speaking to media persons at the State BJP office here, Aleti recalled that the Congress party had mentioned in its manifesto that the compensation for crop losses would be immediately credited to the farmers. “The government is not in a position to give minimum assurance to the farmers. He also said Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao is not in a position to provide crop compensation even to the people of his home district Khammam. It is sad he has completely failed as a minister,” he added.
Maheshwar Reddy alleged that CM Revanth Reddy was lying that ₹ 2 lakh crop loan waiver had been given to all the farmers in the State and added that Minister Tummala’s statement that Rs 13,000 crore would be released as the crop loan waiver soon was ironical. He said people were watching who was lying on the crop loan waiver issue while mocking that State ministers also have no clarity on the issue of Rythu Bharosa scheme. He demanded that the government immediately respond and deposit Rs 2 lakh in the accounts of the farmers.
Meanwhile, Maheshwar Reddy paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary at the BJP State office. He garlanded the portrait of Mahatma and paid floral tributes.
