
Hyderabad, Nov.13 (NSS): Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari today held a meeting with senior officials on the ensuing two-day visit of the President of India to the city on the November 21 and 22. She directed the officials to make proper arrangements as per the manual to ensure that the programme is held in a befitting and successful manner.
The Chief Secretary instructed the Governments of State and Centre to make arrangements as per blue book. Police department should make adequate security arrangements, proper traffic and bandobust plan, she said and wanted the Fire department to provide adequate fire fighting arrangements and fire tenders at all the venues along with requisite staff. She also directed the Health department to make available the services of qualified doctors along with ancillary staff. The R&B department was told to make necessary barricading and other arrangements and to take up road repairs in coordination with GHMC and Police department. The MA&UD department was directed to ensure cleanliness of the surroundings of the place of stay of the President. The energy department was told to ensure uninterrupted power supply at all the venues.
DGP Jitender, Special Chief Secretary Home Ravi Gupta, Special Chief Secretary R&B Vikas Raj, DG Fire Services Nagi Reddy, Principal Secretary B Venkatesham, Director Protocol Venkat Rao, CIPR Harish and other officials attended the meeting.
