Hyderabad, Nov.20 (NSS): The PDSF State committee today demanded that the Telangana State government desist from hatching conspiracies to scrap the fee reimbursement scheme. An effigy of the government was burnt to protest against the negligent attitude of the Congress government in the release of the pending fee reimbursement dues and scholarship arrears.
Stating that degree and PG college managements have been on strike since November 19, they said the degree and PG students under all universities in the State were worried about not being able to attend classes. They demanded that steps should be taken to release the fee reimbursement dues. They also demanded that a green channel system be implemented to reimburse the fees of the students as soon as the academic year begins every year. They also demanded that the problems faced by educational institutions across the State be resolved along with the fee reimbursement and added that lecturer and professor posts in degree PG colleges and universities should be filled.
M Harish, Rajasekhar, Kota Anand students Lakshmikanth, Pawan, Srinath and others participated in the protest.
