
Hyderabad, Nov.22 (NSS): Minister for Health Damodar Raja Narasimha has directed the officials to take stringent action against those persons involved in food adulteration.
The Minister held a meeting with officials at the Secretariat here on Friday and reviewed the initiatives on the food safety measures.
During the meeting, Health Commissioner R.V. Karnan presented a detailed PowerPoint presentation on food safety initiatives across the Telangana State.
On the occasion, Minister Raja Narasimha instructed the officials to conduct regular inspections and also asked the Food Safety Task Force to maintain rigorous monitoring.
The Minister called for strengthening food safety laboratories and initiating training programs for cooks and food handlers to enhance awareness.
Officials were directed to make Telangana a model State in food safety and to uphold Hyderabad’s reputation as a premium food brand.
