CM Revanth’s negligence cost lives of 42 students: Koppula Easwar

Hyderabad, Nov.23 (NSS): Former minister Koppula Easwar, former MLA Korukanti Chander, former corporation chairman Mede Rajiv Sagar, rushed to city based NIMS  hospital and enquired about Gurukul student Shailaja’s health condition after she fell ill after consuming contaminated food at Vankidi tribal girls’ ashram school in Kumrambheem Asifabad district.

Speaking to media persons, Koppula Easwar said Jyothi Mahalakshmi, who fell ill after consuming contaminated food at Vankidi tribal girls’ ashram school in Asifabad district of Kumrambheem Asifabad district, was treated at NIMS and was discharged after receiving treatment, but Shailaja is in a serious condition since admission and is on dialysis with a kidney problem.

“But Shailaja’s condition is very serious as her kidneys are not fully functioning and the girl’s body is not cooperating with the treatment. SC student Shailaja, who had many dreams of studying and improving her future, is struggling for her life due to food poisoning,” he said and expressed his displeasure over the government’s incompetence.

He said “CM Revanth Reddy’s negligence cost the lives of 42 students. He did not care if the students went hungry because they could not eat the insects. He did not care if the students were hospitalised due to food poisoning. He did not care if the students went on the road to become teachers.

He said, “Revanth Reddy says if he speaks, he will wipe out the roots of KCR. This is how the situation of these students has changed as these gurukuls have not been taken care of,” he alleged. He recalled that the Revanth Reddy government in the State had failed miserably and added that during the 11 months of Congress rule, 42 students lost their lives due to the negligence of the government while noting that there’s nothing more unfortunate than this, he added.

“This was done entirely due to the negligence of the government and the present Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the authorities concerned. I am demanding on behalf of the BRS party to ensure that justice is done to this Shailaja in all respects,” he said.
