
Hyderabad, Nov.23 (NSS): Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed the officials to make proper arrangements for the grand success of Rythu Sadassu ( Farmers Conference ) in Mahabubnagar on November 30.
The Chief Minister held a review meeting on the Agriculture department at his residence here on Saturday. Minister for Agriculture Tummala Nageswara Rao also attended the meeting.
On the occasion, he ordered the officials to make proper arrangements to ensure the participation of all farmers of the Telangana State in the Rythu Sadassu.
Revanth Reddy instructed the officials to organise the Rythu Sadassu to create awareness among the farming community and not as a public meeting.
“Stalls will be opened by the Agriculture , Horticulture and Animal Husbandry departments at the venue of the farmers conference. The stalls will be equipped to educate the farmers about the advanced farming methods and new technologies adopted in the agriculture sector,” he said.
The Chief Minister further stated that new crop varieties, developed by the University, innovations in Oil Palm companies and innovative products launched by various companies and it’s benefits to the farmers will also be displayed in the stalls.
“Advanced equipment, electric tractors, drones, etc. will be kept ready for demonstration in the Rythu Sadassu programme,” he disclosed.
Revanth Reddy emphasised that a three-day Rythu Sadassu programme should be organised to create awareness among the farmers and not confine to only visiting of the farmers on November 30, asking that all the stalls will be opened from November 28.
The Chief Minister instructed the officials to organise the farmers conference in such a manner the Telangana farmers acquire knowledge about the changes happening in agricultural practices in the country.
On the occasion, officials briefed the Chief Minister that the State government already waived off farm loans upto Rs. 2 lakh benefitting 23 lakh farmers.
Officials submitted a report to the Chief Minister on the complaints received in the implementation of farm loan waiver scheme due to errors in Aadhaar numbers, names in bank accounts and family verification.
CM Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, MP CH Kiran Kumar Reddy, MLA Sudarshan Reddy, CMO Special Secretary Chandrasekhar Reddy and Principal Secretary Agriculture Raghunandan Rao were also present.
