Congress party should change after Maharashtra election debacle : Harish Rao

Hyderabad, Nov.24 (NSS): Former Minister Harish Rao has suggested that the ruling Congress party should change itself  after the defeat in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. He alleged that no leader was allowed from going to the Lagacharla village in chief minister Revanth Reddy’s own constituency and added that there was no democracy in Telangana. He was speaking to the media on Sunday. “In Maharashtra, people have given a befitting reply to the Congress party. The CM is lying that an industrial corridor is being set up in Lagacharla village . On July 19, a gazette notification was issued to set up a pharma city. The term “industrial corridor” was changed due to opposition from the public. Accept the truth fearlessly and withdraw the old gazette,” he demanded.

Rao made it clear that People would believe only if a new gazette was issued in the name of industrial corridor by the state government . He said that CM Revanth should go to Lagacharla and talk to the people there. Talking about the propaganda of the ruling congress party leaders over kaleswaram lift irrigation project , he mocked that the same congress leaders were now saying that tenders should be called for supplying 20 TMC of water from the Kaleswaram project to Hyderabad. “If Kaleshwaram collapses. How do you take 20 TMC of water,” Harish Rao asked.
