Hyderabad, Dec.1 (NSS): Major General Ajay Misra took over as General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Telangana & Andhra Sub Area (TASA) at Secunderabad on Sunday.
The General Officer was commissioned into the ‘Regiment of Artillery’ in 1992. An alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla and Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, he is a graduate of Defence Services Staff College, Wellington & Higher Command Course, Army War College, Mhow. The General Officer also attended the prestigious NDC Course at the National Defence College, New Delhi.
Major General Ajay Misra has vast staff & operational experience, with a keen eye on Northern Borders. He has commanded his Regiment & Brigade on the Line of Actual Control (LAC). He has been twice awarded with the Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card. After taking charge, the General Officer vowed that he shall strive to continue the good work of his illustrious predecessors, promote outreach to various stakeholders and enhance the operational preparedness of TASA.
