AKHILESH YADAV VOWS TO TAKE ON BJP IN UP USING AI TECHNOLOGY

Hyderabad, Dec.13 (RAHNUMA): Samajwadi Party president and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday asserted that he would defeat the BJP in the upcoming UP Assembly elections by effectively using Artificial Intelligence (AI). Emphasising his opposition to divisive politics, he said his party would focus only on positive, developmental and progressive governance.

Addressing reporters at the Vision India Summit held at the Samajwadi Party headquarters in Hyderabad, Akhilesh said AI could play a crucial role in governance, especially in agriculture, infrastructure, urban development, traffic management and healthcare. He noted that experts at the summit had offered several recommendations on leveraging technology for public welfare.

Expressing concern over rising cybercrime, Akhilesh pointed out that Uttar Pradesh records the highest number of cyber offences in the country. AI should be used to curb cyber frauds, including scams targeting even senior officials and judges, and to counter the spread of fake AI-generated videos on social media, he added.

On the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, Akhilesh alleged that the BJP government was attempting to remove nearly three crore voters in Uttar Pradesh. He termed the exercise as “NRC in disguise” and accused the government of misusing technology to disenfranchise voters. He stressed that it was the Election Commission’s duty to protect voting rights, not remove them.

Akhilesh reiterated that the Samajwadi Party would continue to remain part of the INDIA alliance and work towards inclusive, technology-driven development. (
