HCA secretary calls on Governor, discusses cricket development initiatives

Hyderabad, May 8 (RAHNUMA): Hyderabad Cricket Association secretary M. Jeevan Reddy called on Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at Lok Bhavan on Friday.

During the meeting, the HCA secretary briefed the Governor on various initiatives being undertaken by the Association for the development and promotion of cricket in the State. He explained measures aimed at strengthening grassroots cricket, expanding sports infrastructure, promoting rural talent, and organising coaching programmes for young cricketers.

Jeevan Reddy also informed the Governor about the proposed “TG20 League” initiative, which is intended to provide greater opportunities to emerging cricketers from Telangana.

He further invited the Governor to attend the upcoming Indian Premier League match scheduled to be held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium on May 22.

Earlier, Priyanka Varghese, Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF), Charminar Circle and Secretary of the Telangana IFS Officers’ Association, and J. Snehaja, Regional Passport Officer, Hyderabad, called on the Governor at Lok Bhavan.

Swami Balachandra, founder of Abhaya Foundation, also met the Governor.
