Raja Narasimha inspects TIMS Sanath Nagar, pushes for swift completion

Hyderabad, May 28 (RAHNUMA): Minister for Medical and Health Damodar Raja Narasimha visited the TIMS Hospital in Sanath Nagar, Hyderabad on Thursday to assess the preparations for its inauguration.

He conducted a thorough inspection of all hospital departments, taking the time to review the modern equipment, medical facilities, infrastructure, laboratories, and blood bank which have been developed to meet international standards.

During his visit, the Minister urged engineering officials to expedite the ongoing civil works at the hospital. He also emphasised the necessity of creating separate hostel facilities for male and female doctors within the hospital grounds.

Raja Narasimha highlighted the importance of ensuring adequate restroom facilities for both outpatients and inpatients. He recommended implementing a multi-level parking system on the premises to alleviate traffic congestion.

Additionally, the Minister called for the establishment of a Dharmashala (rest house) for patient attendants and the creation of two canteens within the hospital.

He instructed that work on the administrative building and the TB Hospital Board office be completed swiftly, and directed officials to set up a police outpost at the main entrance of the hospital.

He emphasised the need for essential services, including drainage, sanitation management, and water supply, to operate continuously within the hospital that is being built to international standards. The Minister also requested modern interiors and lounges to be incorporated into the design.

He urged that modern amenities be prioritised in the sections designated for international patients.

To oversee the creation of a world-class laboratory within the hospital, the Minister established a committee consisting of the Director of Medical Education (DME), the Head of Department (HoD), and engineering officials from the Telangana Medical Services & Infrastructure Development Corporation.

Furthermore, the Minister directed officials to prepare cost estimates for completing the outstanding tasks necessary for the full operational launch of the TIMS Hospital.

After his field inspection, the Minister held a review meeting at the proposed administrative building to discuss hospital management, the enhancement of medical services, and the urgent completion of civil works.

He provided guidance to officials from the State Medical and Health department on government goals, hospital administration, and the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.
