
Hyderabad, June 21 (RAHNUMA): South Central Railway (SCR) celebrated the 12th International Day of Yoga at Indoor Stadium, Railway Sports Complex, Secunderabad on Sunday Satya Prakash, Additional General Manager, SCR was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Siddharth Kati, Principal Chief Personnel Officer, other Principal Heads of Departments, Officials, Staff, Scouts & Guides, School Children and Yoga enthusiasts also took part in the program in large numbers under the supervision of Murari Mohan, renowned Yoga Teacher and State Coordinator for
Art of Living Society, Hyderabad.
The theme for the 12th International Yoga day is “Yoga for Healthy Ageing”. This theme highlights the importance of the ancient practice in promoting longevity, mobility, independence and holistic wellness as global populations grow older. It aligns closely with the World Health Organization goals for active living by using gentle movements, stretching, and breathing exercises to manage stress and improve physical resilience across all age groups.
Murari Mohan, renowned Yoga Teacher conducted the session with Asanas, Pranayama and Meditation etc., Murari Mohan stated that yoga is celebration of life and a way to detox the body, distress the mind and lift the soul. He also stated that Yoga is not merely a physical exercise but a path towards total harmony of body, mind and spirit which ultimately leads to self-realization.
Satya Prakash, Additional General Manager, SCR administered the Yoga Sankalp pledge to the participants as a promise to adopt yoga into daily lifestyle for better physical and mental well-being. The additional General Manager also appreciated Murari Mohan, renowned Yoga Teacher for conducting today’s Yoga session and sharing his valuable insights on leading a stress-free life.
Earlier, Additional General Manager and other participants witnessed the live streaming of IYD-2026 hosted at Kolkata, West Bengal wherein Narendra Modi, Prime Minister joined the event along with other dignitaries and addressed the large gathering of yoga enthusiasts.
