
Hyderabad, June 21 (RAHNUMA): Telangana mountaineer Padamati Anvitha has successfully scaled Mount Denali (6,190 metres), the highest peak in North America, completing her sixth peak in the prestigious Seven Summits Challenge and moving closer to conquering the highest mountains on all seven continents.
The climber from Bhongir reached the summit on June 19 during a self-supported expedition alongside Argentine mountaineer Renata. The two-member team completed the challenging climb without guides, porters or external logistical support. With Mount Denali now successfully climbed, Padamati Anvitha has completed six of the Seven Summits and continues her mission towards achieving the ultimate milestone of scaling the highest peaks on all seven continents, further strengthening India’s presence in the global mountaineering community.
Anvitha’s mountaineering achievements include summits of Mount Everest (8,849 m), Mount Vinson, Mount Elbrus, Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Aconcagua. She is also recognized as the first Indian to reach the true summit of Mount Manaslu (8,163 m).
Associated with Transcend Academy of Rock Climbing, Anvitha mentors aspiring climbers and leads Everest expeditions. She dedicated the achievement to her family, mentors and supporters, saying that carrying the Indian flag atop Denali was a moment of immense pride.
