Hyderabad, July 22 (RAHNUMA): BRS leader Gattu Ramchander Rao on Wednesday alleged that Telangana was being “ruined in the hands of a financial anarchist”.
Addressing a press conference here at Telangana Bhavan, he criticised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, accusing him of making unrealistic promises and deceiving the public. He remarked that “lies plus profanity equal the Congress party”.
Ramchander Rao alleged that law and order had deteriorated under the present government, claiming that crime in the State had increased by 14 per cent during the year. He expressed concern over an alarming law-and-order situation, alleging that criminals were brazen enough to take selfies while committing offences.
He further accused the police of focusing on filing cases against opposition leaders instead of maintaining law and order. He also alleged that Gandhi Bhavan had become a centre for abusive political rhetoric and claimed that some individuals had been given Cabinet rank primarily to target BRS leaders.
Demanding the Chief Minister’s resignation, Ramchander Rao alleged that Revanth Reddy was illegally amassing wealth through land encroachments and claimed that these alleged irregularities would soon come to light. He also alleged that the Chief Minister would eventually “mortgage the Congress party to the BJP”.
