Hyderabad, July 23 (RAHNUMA): BJP Telangana president N Ramchander Rao on Thursday launched a statewide agitation demanding immediate release of pending fee reimbursement dues, alleging that nearly 25 lakh students were facing uncertainty due to the Congress government’s inaction.
Unveiling the campaign poster “Feesula Bakayi – BJP Ladai” (Fee arrears – BJP Fight) here at Nizam College, Basheerbagh, Rao said the BJP, led by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) and Mahila Morcha, the party’s MLAs, MPs, leaders and cadre will take this movement to the public statewide. The BJP would continue the agitation until all arrears were cleared, he asserted and accused the Revanth Reddy government of ignoring students despite High Court observations and demanded fulfilment of election promises on jobs, unemployment allowance and recruitment.
BJP Legislature Party Floor Leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy, State General Secretary N. Gautam Rao, BJP State Vice President Smt. Jayashree, BJP Yuva Morcha State President Ganesh Kunde, and others participated in this event.
Besides, the BJP leader alleged that the Congress, Left parties and certain foreign-backed groups were conspiring to create unrest and destabilise the Narendra Modi-led NDA government. Further, he accused certain ‘ultra-left and soft-left forces’ along with leaders of older unions like SFI, AISF, and ASA of coming together under new names such as the “Cockroach Janata Party” to incite violence and instability in India, similar to the events seen in Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh.
Addressing newsmen at the state party office, Rao claimed that anti-national elements were attempting to incite youth and organise protests with foreign support. Defending the Centre’s handling of the NEET paper leak, he said the NDA government acted swiftly, enacted the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, and strengthened the National Testing Agency (NTA). He also highlighted the Centre’s employment record and cautioned against supporting organisations allegedly working against the national interests.
