Hyderabad, July 23 (RAHNUMA): The Bharat Rashtra Samithi Vidyarthi (BRSV), the student wing of the BRS, has announced a major demonstration at Dharna Chowk, Indira Park, Hyderabad, on Friday at 10 AM. The protest comes in response to the police action and alleged suppression of students and youth protesting in New Delhi.
BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) will attend the protest to reaffirm his solidarity with the youth movement. In a personal gesture of support, KTR has decided to forego all customary celebrations for his 50th birthday, choosing instead to stand alongside student activists.
“The voice of India’s youth cannot be crushed through force,” KTR stated, emphasising the constitutional right to dissent and peaceful assembly.
A large gathering of students, youth organizations, and BRSV activists is expected to participate to demand accountability and protest police excesses against peaceful demonstrators.
Meanwhile, BRS leaders, including Gellu Srinivas Yadav, Mutha Jayasimha, and others called on
the Gandhi Nagar Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and sought permission for the protest.
