
Hyderabad, Aug.13 (RAHNUMA): The Telangana government has invited the Centre to participate in the Khelo India Games, which will be held in the State from December 11 to 22.
Minister for Youth Services and Sports Vakiti Srihari, Telangana government Special Representative Jitender Reddy, former Sports Authority chairman Siva Sena Reddy, and Sports Authority Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Sonibala Devi met Union Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya in New Delhi on Thursday and invited him to attend the event.
Vakiti Srihari said the State government was making elaborate arrangements to host the Khelo India Games on a prestigious scale, with the objective of further strengthening the sports ecosystem in Telangana and providing young athletes with greater opportunities at the national level.
He said the State government would work in close coordination with the Centre to ensure the successful conduct of the event and further enhance Telangana’s position on the national sports map.
The Minister thanked the Centre for selecting Telangana as the venue for the Khelo India Games.
