
Hyderabad, July 23 (RAHNUMA): The Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi (BGUS) inaugurated its central office at Baheti Bhavan, Siddiamber Bazar, formally kicking off preparations for the 47th Samuhik Ganesh Utsav in Hyderabad.
BGUS president G Raghava Reddy said the office would coordinate with thousands of Ganesh pandals, government agencies and civic bodies to ensure smooth conduct of the festivities. The celebrations will begin with idol installations on September 14 and conclude with the immersion procession on September 25 (Ananta Chaturdashi). This year’s festival will also commemorate the 150th anniversary of “Vande Mataram”, the 650th birth anniversary of Sant Ramdas, and the 100th birth anniversary of Ashok Singhal.
BGUS secretary Dr. Ravinuthala Shashidhar said that the Ganesh Utsav in twin cities is going to conduct its “47th Samuhik Ganesh Utsav in Bhagyanagar” this year commencing with installation of Ganesh Idols on Monday, 14th September and culminating with huge “Samuhik Ganesh Immersion” on Friday, 25th September being the “Anantha Chaturdashi”.
