
Hyderabad, June 13 (RAHNUMA): Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka stated that the Congress-led People’s government is giving top priority to the development of education, healthcare, and spirituality.
He laid the foundation stone for the development works of the renowned Guddemgutta Sri Satyanarayana Swamy Temple in the Mancherial Assembly constituency on Saturday.
Ministers D. Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar, Adluri Laxman Kumar, MLAs Prem Sagar Rao, Raj Thakur, Gandra Satyanarayana Rao, MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna, and several public representatives participated in the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister recalled that the issue of developing Guddemgutta Temple was raised during a public meeting held at Pippiri to mark the third anniversary of the completion of the People’s March Padayatra.
He said that sanctioning funds within just 37 days of that meeting and performing the groundbreaking ceremony today reflects the efficiency and commitment of the people’s government.
Bhatti Vikramarka announced that the Guddemgutta Sri Satyanarayana Swamy Temple would be transformed into a magnificent spiritual destination with an investment of nearly ₹70 crore.
He stated that within this short period, the government has sanctioned ₹2,216 crore for the development and rejuvenation of temples across Telangana. Referring to the successful conduct of the Saraswati Pushkaralu under the leadership of Minister Sridhar Babu, he said the government has now allocated ₹1,000 crore for the upcoming Godavari Pushkaralu, aimed at creating essential facilities and constructing bathing ghats for devotees.
The Deputy Chief Minister said the government is paying special attention to the development of temples located along the Godavari river basin. As part of this initiative, ₹802 crore has been allocated for the development and beautification of pilgrimage centres stretching from Basara to Bhadrachalam.
He emphasised that the government is responding to the aspirations and faith of the people by making substantial investments in spiritual infrastructure.
Bhatti Vikramarka noted that along with promoting spirituality, the government is equally focused on strengthening agriculture, which is the primary livelihood of people in the region. In this regard, he announced that ₹74 crore has been sanctioned for the lift irrigation project in the Guddemgutta area, and the foundation stone for the works was laid on the same day.
The Deputy Chief Minister congratulated local MLA Prem Sagar Rao for working with a clear vision for the development of education, healthcare, spirituality, and irrigation sectors in the Mancherial constituency.
