Karimnagar, July 1 (RAHNUMA): Former minister and BRS leader T Harish Rao on Wednesday claimed that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was “scared of losing power” and accused the Congress government of betraying farmers.
Addressing a BRS workers’ meeting in Karimnagar, Harish Rao alleged that the government had failed to implement its promises on farm loan waiver, Rythu Bandhu, power supply and compensation to farmers’ families. He also demanded immediate utilisation of the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project to provide irrigation water and protect crops.
The BRS leader urged the party workers to remain vigilant during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, alleging there was a risk that the two governments might conspire to delete the opposition party votes here just as is happening in other states. He called upon booth-level workers to ensure every eligible voter completed the enrolment process.
Karimnagar MLA and former Minister Gangula Kamalakar, former Minister Koppula Eshwar, former MLAs Rasamayi Balakishan and Sunke Ravishankar, former ZP Chairperson Tula Uma along with numerous other local leaders and the party workers participated in the meeting.
