Hyderabad, Sept.4 (RAHNUMA): The Hyderabad Traffic Police has announced traffic diversions in and around Dhoolpet to facilitate the sale, purchase and transportation of Ganesh idols. The restrictions will be in force from 7 am on September 5 to 10 pm on September 14, 2026.
General traffic will not be permitted between Bhoiguda Kaman and Gandhi statue in either direction. Vehicles transporting Ganesh idols will enter through Gandhi statue and Puranapool and exit via Bhoiguda Kaman X roads.
Several diversions have been introduced for vehicles heading towards Mangalhat, Puranapool and surrounding areas, with alternative routes through Aghapura, Ghode Ki Khabar, Jinsi Chowrahi and Takkarwadi T junction.
Lorries and DCM vehicles arriving to transport idols have been directed to park at Jumerat Bazar ground and will be permitted to collect idols after 10 pm. Additional parking arrangements have been made on 100 feet road, Puranapool. During heavy rains, vehicles will be parked in a single line from M.J. Bridge towards Jumerat Bazar road up to the designated parking area.
