GHMC Standing Committee approves 14 points in standing committee

Hyderabad, Sept.12 (NSS): The 5th standing committee meeting was held at the GHMC headquarters on Thursday under the chairmanship of city mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi. The mayor said 14 points were approved by the members at the committee meeting.

GHMC Commissioner Amrapali Kata, standing committee members Bannala Geetha Praveen Mudiraj, Faheed bin Abdul Samad, Mohammed Qadir, Ella Archana, Mohammed Nazir Uddin, Rafat Sultana, Ghouse Uddin Mohammed, Manne Kavitha Reddy, Mohammed Rasheed Farauddin, Uppalapati Srikanth, Sabiha Begum, Avula Ravinder Reddy, Chintala Vijay Shanti, Chintala Vijay Shanti, Kandi Shailaja  Pankaja, Mangatayaru, CCP Srinivas, Chief Entomology Dr. Rambabu, Chief Veterinary Dr. Abdul Vakil, Accounts Examiner Venkateswara Reddy, Zonal Commissioners Apurv Chauhan, Hemant Keshav Patil, Ravi Kiran, Upender Reddy, Venkanna, Project CE Devanand, Housing CE Anil Raj, Khairatabad Zone SE Ratnakar, Engineering and other officials were present at the meeting .

Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi instructed the officials to identify those who would come forward to spray through drones for the development of ponds in the CSR method and prevention of mosquitoes in the ponds.

The committee has approved the recommendation of GHMC commissioner for ratification in respect of issuing letter of award to Navnirman Association, which is the highest bidder for 10 years for the development and maintenance of multilevel smart car and motorcycle parking at entry one gate of KBR Park. The Committee has also approved the proposals for increasing the pay scale of 90 Community Coordinators and Community Organizers working in GHMC to Rs.24,280-72,850 as per Government Order 827 MA&UD (UBS) dated 08-10-23 with effect from 01-04-2023.

The committee approved the recommendation of administrative sanction and ratification for acquisition of 44 properties for the road to be taken up at a cost of Rs 20 crore under SRDP for the expansion of the 100-feet road from Bandlaguda Junction to Errakunta Junction. The committee also approved the issuance of NOC on payment of market value of Rs 1 lakh per square yard for 70.04 square yards of land belonging to Dr. T. Surekha and A. Vijayalakshmi as per the directions of the High Court for allotment of access road in Ward No.10 of Banjara Hills and  Road No.14 of Sheikpet Mandal. The committee further approved the MoU  for a period of six months with Malligavad Foundation for renovation of Kaidamma Kunta at Hafizpet in Serilingampally mandal under CSR.

The Construction of a new bridge between Secunderabad and Sitaphal Mandi railway stations on a box-pushing basis at a cost of Rs. 19,74,13,837/- was also  approved and  recommended  to the Government by the committee . The committee has approved the acquisition of 107 properties affected by the proposed road widening of 60 metres up to GHMC limits at Telugu Talli  Statue from Lothukunta railway bridge to Alwal ROB.

The Committee approved zonal commissioner’s MoU with M/s Thuvakkam Welfare Association for a period of three years for the development of urban forest in 43,600 square feet under CSR at KSR Layout in Chandanagar circle of Serilingampally zone.
