“HARVARD” REMARK SPARKS FRESH POLITICAL ROW IN TELANGANA

Hyderabad, Feb.5 (RAHNUMA): Former minister and BRS leader G. Jagadish Reddy on Thursday launched a scathing attack on Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, accusing him of displaying “ignorance” and using language unbecoming of a Chief Minister during a recent public meeting in Miryalaguda. “While everyone’s knowledge increases after going to Harvard University in the USA, but Revanth Reddy had lost whatever knowledge he had acquired at Harvard”, the BRS leader remarked.

Addressing the media, Jagadish Reddy criticised the CM’s remarks at Miryalaguda and alleged that instead of discussing public issues, Revanth Reddy was resorting to abusive and provocative language. He also took a swipe at the Chief Minister’s reference to Harvard, claiming that while education usually enhances knowledge, Revanth Reddy had “lost whatever knowledge he had acquired.”

The BRS leader further accused the Congress government of making baseless allegations and attempting to divert public attention from governance issues. He alleged that development achieved during former CM K. Chandrashekar Rao’s tenure was being undermined and claimed that people were disappointed with what he described as “false promises” by the ruling party.

Jagadish Reddy also urged voters to support BRS candidates in upcoming municipal elections, expressing confidence that the party would secure victory in Suryapet municipality.
