
Hyderabad, May 31(RAHNUMA): Hackathon India Brand owner and WTITC Chairman Sundeep Kumar Makthala represented India as a distinguished panel speaker at the GSIC APAC Summit Singapore, one of the world’s premier platforms dedicated to sports innovation, technology, and ecosystem development.
Makthala participated in the high-profile panel discussion titled “Transforming Ecosystems: Intersections of Technology, Commercialization and Sustainability,” alongside Dean Tan, Deputy Chief, Industry Development, Sport Singapore; Andrew representing the Australian Sports Technology Network (ASTN); and BJ Manalo, Founder of MTW Sports Management Services, Philippines.
The panel explored the future of sports ecosystems, focusing on how technology, commercialization, and sustainability can collectively drive transformation across the global sports industry. The discussion attracted leaders from sports organizations, innovation ecosystems, technology companies, startups, investors, and policymakers from across the Asia-Pacific region.
During the session, Makthala highlighted Hyderabad’s pioneering Sports Hackathon® – the World’s First Stadium Innovation League – as a successful example of transforming sports infrastructure into innovation ecosystems. The initiative brought together athletes, innovators, startups, students, technology professionals, and industry stakeholders to collaboratively develop solutions for the future of sports.
Speaking at the summit, Makthala emphasized that the future of sports innovation lies in building collaborative ecosystems that connect technology, talent, entrepreneurship, and community participation. He noted that sustainable growth can be achieved only when innovation is supported by strong partnerships and measurable impact.
