Condemning allegations of BJP Legislature Party leader A Maheshwar Reddy, who has accused Civil Supplies Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy of handing over Rs.100 crore collected through kickbacks from rice millers to Congress high command as election fund, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Working President Jaggareddy said that Uttam Kumar was like a white paper and urged the BJP leader not to sprinkle ink on the Minister with baseless allegations.
Addressing the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday, Jaggareddy said that he was surprised at the baseless allegations made by the BJP MLA against the Minister and said that he was not able to understand that what benefits Maheshwar Reddy will get from troubling Uttam Kumar Reddy with derogatory remarks.
“Maheshwar Reddy, despite being a BJLP leader, is not getting due recognition in his party. That’s why he is levelling derogatory remarks for the sake of recognition. If there is any evidence related to the allegations, the BJP leader should present the evidences before the media,” Jaggareddy challenged.
He stated that all the Ministers are working as a team under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and there are no differences among the Ministers.
Jaggareddy made it clear that Revanth Reddy will continue as Chief Minister of Telangana for five years and no one wants to have doubts about the matter. (NSS)
