Nagarjuna Sagar, Aug.10 (RAHNUMA): Minister for Roads & Buildings and Cinematography Komatireddy Venkat Reddy joined Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and cabinet colleagues on Monday to perform the Maha Varuna Yagam at Vijay Vihar, situated on the banks of the Nagarjuna Sagar project in Nalgonda district.
Participating in the special rituals and homam, the Minister prayed for timely and plentiful rainfall across Telangana to support the state’s agricultural sector. Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Forest and Environment Minister Konda Surekha, and other elected representatives also attended the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy stated that the Varuna Yagam was organised under the Chief Minister’s leadership with the objective of securing abundant rainfall, filling major reservoirs to full capacity, and ensuring adequate irrigation water for every farm plot in the state.
“The prosperity of Telangana depends directly on the well-being and happiness of our farming community,” Komatireddy said.
“Our government’s primary focus is to secure good rainfall, boost crop yields, and bring prosperity to our farmers. I have prayed to the Almighty for bountiful rains and for the good health, longevity, and well-being of all citizens across Telangana,” he said.
