
Hyderabad, June 16 (RAHNUMA): Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT) organized a one-day Driver Training Programme in association with Tata Motors to enhance driver awareness on road safety, vehicle maintenance and passenger security.
Addressing the participants, Principal Dr. G. Chandra Mohan Reddy emphasized the importance of ensuring a safe, secure and comfortable travel experience for students. Transport Committee Chairman Dr. Balaji Keshava Rao highlighted the growing traffic congestion around the campus and the responsibility of drivers in ensuring passenger safety.
Tata Motors representatives Pradeep and Srinivas Reddy, along with officials from Jasper Industries, explained the latest BS-VI bus features and guided drivers on handling vehicle dashboard alerts. A hands-on session familiarized participants with onboard sensors, control systems and essential pre-drive inspection and preventive maintenance procedures.
The programme was attended by Transport Incharges Dr. S. Srinivas Rao, Pradyumna and K. Raghu, Jasper Industries Service Manager Naresh, and all institute drivers.
