No welfare in Telangana under Congress’ rule: Kishan Reddy

Hyderabad, July 10 (NSS)Union Minister Kishan Reddy today toured Amberpet assembly constituency. Speaking to media persons on the occasion, he alleged that there was no welfare in the State. He criticized that the welfare schemes of the State government were not being implemented in Telangana.

“People are facing a lot of difficulties in the State and there are a lot of problems in Secunderabad parliamentary constituency as well. It is ironic that GHMC does not have money to install streetlights in many areas. Despite being in power for 10 years, the BRS party did not give ration cards to the people, nor did the Congress, which promised to give new ration cards within 100 days of coming to power, give them the new ration cards, except the ration cards issued by then Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy in 2004. So far, no one in the State has received any new ration cards. The people are not getting five kg of free rice given by the BJP government due to non-availability of the ration cards. They are also unable to join savings societies and get a new gas connection. Even after months, the damaged roads are not being repaired,” he alleged.

Ready said former CM KCR, who promised to give double bedroom houses, went to his farmhouse and added that the new government did not bother about it. “What happened to the promises of giving one tola gold as part of Kalyana Lakshmi scheme and the promise of providing electric scooty to college going women,” he asked. He alleged that CM Revanth Reddy was making money by doing real estate business in Hyderabad and leaving behind the issue of development. Kishan Reddy alleged that Rs 100 crore was  being collected illegally from various people and added that there was  no leader in Hyderabad, who cares about the basic problems of the people of the State.
