Hyderabad, Aug.24 (RAHNUMA): Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday said the issue concerning Minister Konda Surekha would be examined by the party’s disciplinary committee and made it clear that everyone would have to abide by its decision.
Speaking to the media at the Secretariat in Hyderabad, the Chief Minister said all party leaders and members were expected to adhere to the decisions of the party high command.
Revanth Reddy said he would not comment on internal party matters and would not respond to speculative reports concerning the issue.
The row stems from controversial remarks made recently by Konda Surekha’s daughter, Sushmita Patel, targeting Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The comments sparked sharp backlash and protests from sections of Congress party workers. Taking cognisance of the situation, the disciplinary committee initiated an inquiry, prompting Minister Konda Surekha to submit two formal letters to the panel.
Revanth Reddy reaffirmed that the disciplinary committee remains the sole authority tasked with reviewing the matter and taking appropriate action.
