Hyderabad, June 28 (RAHNUMA): BJP National President Nitin Nabin on Sunday called upon every party worker to prepare for a renewed struggle for the comprehensive development of Telangana, driven by the resolve that politics is meant for service rather than power, sacrifice rather than self-indulgence and dedication rather than the pursuit of wealth.
In an event, nine new BJP district offices (Ranga Reddy Rural, Adilabad, Asifabad, Nirmal, Kamareddy, Siddipet, Medak, Wanaparthy, and Nagarkurnool were inaugurated across Telangana on a single day amidst an atmosphere of great enthusiasm.
Speaking on the occasion, He emphasized that these newly opened district offices would serve as “Centres of Resolve” (Sankalpa Kendras) reflecting the party’s ideology and “Centres of Service” (Seva Kendras) standing in support of the people. He expressed happiness that these offices would act as hubs of inspiration for the BJP workers, who operate on the motto: “Nation First, Party Next, Self Last.”
On this historic occasion, Nitin Nabin paid humble tributes to the “Iron Man” Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel—who strove for the nation’s integration—as well as to the martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the separate state of Telangana and the late leader Sushma Swaraj, who had powerfully voiced the demand for Telangana in Parliament. He noted that despite the years that have passed since Telangana’s formation, the dreams cherished by the martyrs had not yet been fully realized and affirmed that the responsibility of fulfilling those aspirations lies with the BJP. Lashing out at those , who criticize the BJP as an “outsider” party, he recalled the historical fact that when the party had only two MPs nationwide in 1984, one of them was elected from the soil of Telangana. He humbly paid his heartfelt respects to all the senior party activists who, through years of hardship, police lathi-charges, struggles and sacrifices, helped the ‘lotus’ bloom across Telangana.
Nitin Nabin launched a scathing attack on the opportunistic politics of both the Congress and regional parties. He asserted that only the BJP activists possess the power to unseat the rulers, who have treated the state merely as a means to enjoy power. He criticized the Congress party for deceitfully reaping the benefits of struggles waged by the BJP activists against the failures of the previous government. Noting that the Congress has a history of prioritizing political self-interest over national interests, he called upon the party activists to mobilize in every village and street to oust the current Congress government which has failed miserably in governance through public struggles.
He expressed confidence that history would repeat itself in Telangana just as the lotus bloomed in West Bengal state following struggles against widespread violence and anarchy. It was lauded that under the good governance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country’s 1.4 billion Indians were moving forward in unity and added that the Modi government was fulfilling the visions of “Ek Bharat – Shreshtha Bharat” (One India – Great India) envisioned by Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, “Antyodaya” (upliftment of the last person) championed by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and the goals of good governance set by former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Also present at the event was BJP Telangana State President N. Ramchander Rao, Party National General Secretary and State In-charge Sunil Bansal, State In-charge Abhay Patil, BJP Co-in-charge for Tamil Nadu and Karnataka Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, State Organizational General Secretary Chandrashekhar Tiwari, Legislative Party Leader Aaleti Maheshwar Reddy, MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy and Ranga Reddy Rural District President Raj Bhupal Goud.
