Hyderabad, Dec.5 (NSS): Railway officials along with Print/Electronic Media fraternity visited the Gunadala Station on December 5 to witness the scale of undergoing activity and various passenger amenities built to facilitate the esteemed passengers. P. E. Edwin, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Infrastructure), Vijayawada Division, SCR and P.V. Ramana Rao, Deputy Chief Engineer, Gati Shakti, Vijayawada Division briefed the media regarding the current progress and held a walk-through tour in and across the station on the latest developments and infrastructural upgrades.
Speaking with media persons, P. E. Edwin, ADRM (Infrastructure) underscored the strategic importance for developing the Gunadala Railway Station on war footing with state-of-the-art amenities and best infrastructure. He thanked the PM for his vision to transform the stations landscape with the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. He stated that 25% of works, Gunadala Railway Station were completed viz; platform extensions, construction of waiting halls, modular toilets, provision of cover over platforms, BiPV Solar Panels and remaining works are being pursued at jet speed to declare the station open for commercial operations. He pointed that Gati Shakti team and divisional Officials are working in tandem to develop a total 22 stations under the PM’s Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
