Hyderabad, Dec.5 (NSS): The State government on Thursday appointed senior IAS officer N. Sridhar as the Principal Secretary of the Education department.
Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari has issued orders entrusting him with full additional responsibilities. He will continue until further orders are issued. Recently, the State government has appointed Burra Venkatesham, who is the Principal Secretary of the Education department, as the Chairman of Telangana State Public Service Commission ( TGSPSC). In this context, the government has assigned the responsibility to N. Sridhar in place of Venkatesham.
Sridhar, who is an IAS officer of the 1997 batch, has served in various cadres in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States.
After the formation of Telangana, he had been the CMD of Singareni Company Collieries Limited in Telangana since January 1, 2015. After the Congress government came to power last year, Balaram was appointed as CMD in place of Sridhar.
