SCR GM Presents ‘Employee of the Month’ Safety Awards to Employees

Hyderabad, April 27 (RAHNUMA): South Central Railway (SCR) reaffirmed its commitment to safety in train

operations with a detailed review meeting held on Mondayat Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad.

Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway, presented the “Employee of the Month” Safety Awards to thirteen employees in recognition of their dedication and alertness in preventing unsafe conditions. Satya Prakash, Additional General Manager, SCR, participated in the meeting along with all Principal Heads of Departments. Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur, and Nanded Divisions joined the review meeting through video conference.

The awards were presented to the frontline staff including Track Maintainers, Point’s man, Technicians, Train Managers, Station Masters and Loco Pilots in appreciation for the alertness, punctual, perfection and dedication in the duty. The Division wise distribution of awardees is as follows: Secunderabad Division – 03, Vijayawada Division – 07, Guntur Division – 01 and Guntakal Division – 02.

Congratulating the awardees, the General Manager lauded their devotion and sincerity in discharging duties, emphasizing that such recognition would inspire and motivate other employees to remain vigilant and uphold safety standards in train operations.

Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, emphasized the importance of proactive measures to ensure railway safety during the peak summer season. He directed officials to strengthen track infrastructure to withstand extreme heat, thereby ensuring uninterrupted train operations. General Manager instructed the Officials to conduct

regular safety inspections, prioritizing ballast recouping and filling to maintain track stability. He further advised to conduct detailed analysis of fire risks and implement corrective actions to prevent fire incidents in trains, highlighting the need for vigilance and preparedness during the challenging summer months.

The General Manager stressed that safety requirements must never be compromised. He highlighted the importance of sensitizing staff on all aspects of safety, strengthening fire safety arrangements, conducting inspections of points and crossings, and ensuring removal of construction materials near tracks after completion of works.
