
Hyderabad, April 14 (RAHNUMA): The 327th Khalsa Panth Foundation Day Celebrations, commonly referred to as the Vaisakhi festival, took place on the grand scale in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
The event featured the recitation of Gurubani Keertans and sermons delivered by esteemed Ragi Jathas (preachers). Attendees witnessed the revered Sri Guru Granth Sahibji being carried on a palanquin, as well as a vibrant Nagar Keertan (holy procession). The festivities also showcased an impressive display of Gatka skills by Sikhs, along with the serving of Guru ka Langar (free food).
The Sikh community celebrated the festival with great enthusiasm and dedication at Gurudwara Saheb Ameerpet in Hyderabad.
The major attraction of the celebrations was held at Sri Guru Gobind Singhji Playground, Ameerpet, Hyderabad and organised under the aegis of the Prabhandak Committee Gurudwara Saheb where hundreds of Sikh devotees and other community faiths converged in the “Vishaal Deewan” (mass congregation).
The congregation began early in the morning and continued upto 5 pm.
The preachers called upon the devotees to follow the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib which stands for national integration, communal harmony, brotherhood and peace to the whole humanity.
Gurudwara Sahib Ameerpet Prabhandak Committee president S. Darshan Singh and general secretary S.Surender Singh welcomed the devotees who came from various parts of the state. After the culmination of the congregation, the traditional Guru-ka-Langar (free community kitchen) prepared specially by the devotees was served to all the people.
