Yoga is a civilizational gift from India to the world: Ramchander Rao

Hyderabad, June 21 (RAHNUMA): BJP Telangana State President N Ramchander Rao on Sunday emphasized that yoga is a civilizational boon from India to the world which became a worldwide movement.

Speaking after participating in the 12th International Day of Yoga celebrations held at Indira Park, Rao said that the entire world is celebrating International Yoga Day with immense enthusiasm today. He said that Yoga is an eternal civilizational gift given by India to the world, and credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking Yoga to the global stage and transforming it into a worldwide movement.

He emphasized that Yoga is not merely physical exercise, but a holistic way of life that strengthens mental health and physical well-being. He noted that in today’s fast-paced life, people increasingly face stress, depression, and lifestyle-related health disorders. In such circumstances, Yoga offers a natural and powerful solution.

Rao mentioned that people depend on pills and medicines for even minor health issues, However, by practicing Yoga regularly, one can lead a healthy, peaceful, and balanced life, He said and added that Yoga not only fosters mental resilience but also improves overall health.

Urging citizens to make yoga an integral part of their daily routine life, He gave a special call to students and youth to make Yoga a part of their daily lives. He expressed happiness that many schools are also encouraging students toward Yoga, noting that this helps instill a healthy lifestyle in children from a young age. “Yoga is the path to a healthy body, a peaceful mind, and a strong society. Every citizen, especially the youth, must practice Yoga,” he said.

Despite the rain interruption, Rao congratulated District President Bharat Goud and the entire

organizing team for successfully conducting the Yoga Day event at Indira Park.
