Nalgonda, June 27 (RAHNUMA): The Nalgonda Police have announced extensive traffic restrictions across the town on Sunday in view of the Telangana Chief Minister’s public meeting at NG College grounds.
District SP Sharath Chandra Pawar said the restrictions are aimed at ensuring smooth traffic management, public safety, and hassle-free movement for meeting attendees.
According to the police, visitors from Miryalaguda and Tipparthi side are advised to reach the venue via: Miryalaguda–Tipparthi–Duppalapalli (through Panagal) route, or Nakrekal–Panagal–Pullareddy route. Parking facilities have been arranged at Kalabharathi, Mekala Abhinay Stadium, Arya Samaj Grounds and Railway Station area.
Visitors from Sagar, Devarakonda, Kanagal and Munugode side should enter through the Munugode bypass via the Rural Police Station and use designated parking areas at Rakhils Colony, VT Colony, LV Petrol Bunk, RRR, Raghavendra Colony and Ravinder Nagar. Special parking for two-wheelers has been provided at Police Parade Ground and Beat Market.
Police said the general traffic movement will be temporarily suspended on roads leading to the meeting venue, particularly: DTC–Women’s College–DEO Office stretch to NG College, and Clock Tower to NG College route. Only vehicles carrying meeting attendees will be allowed towards the venue.
Residents of Panagal have been advised to use the Ramalayam-Bus stand route, while those in the Hyderabad Road area should take alternative routes from the Vivekananda statue junction, as traffic will be completely restricted up to NG College.
The SP appealed to motorists and the public to cooperate with traffic personnel, follow diversion routes, and help ensure the smooth conduct of the Chief Minister’s visit.
