
Hyderabad, July 29 (RAHNUMA): The Veer Ratna Foundation (VRF), in association with the Telangana department of Sainik Welfare, organised a women empowerment and orientation programme for Veer Naris (war widows) and their families at the Sainik Aramghar Complex in Somajiguda here on Wednesday. VRF is a non-profit organization dedicated to the socio-economic empowerment, welfare, and overall development of Veer Naris and their children of the personnel of the Indian Armed Forces and the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF)
About 30 beneficiaries from across Telangana attended the programme, which highlighted welfare schemes, support services and socio-economic empowerment initiatives. The programme was coordinated by Mrs. Deepti Sharma, representative of the Veer Ratna Foundation.
Brigadier N. R. Babu (Retd), Director of the Department of Sainik Welfare, lauded VRF’s efforts in strengthening the welfare of war widows and assured continued government support to the Armed Forces fraternity.
