
Hyderabad, Oct.9 (NSS): The Telangana Poultry Federation and the National Egg Coordination Committee (NECC), Hyderabad Zone, celebrated World Egg Day at Peddamberpet here on Friday, highlighting the nutritional benefits of eggs and their role in promoting healthy living. The event, supported by IPEMA–Poultry India, also marked the launch of the 18th Poultry India Expo 2026, with Telangana Minister for Animal Husbandry Dr. Vakiti Srihari unveiling the exhibition poster.
Ibrahimpatnam MLA Malreddy Ranga Reddy attended as guest of honour. Uday Singh Bayas, President of IPEMA–Poultry India, emphasised that eggs are an affordable source of high-quality protein, vitamins and minerals, urging people of all age groups to include them in their daily diets. The expo will be held at the HITEX Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad, from November 25 to 27, with Poultry Knowledge Day on November 24, bringing together stakeholders from across the poultry value chain.
Recognised as the World’s Largest Poultry Expo, Poultry India Expo serves as a comprehensive platform bringing together the entire poultry value chain—from equipment manufacturers, technology providers and nutrition specialists to farmers, veterinarians, researchers and industry leaders. (NSS)
