BRS urges HYD collector to protect rs.800-cr cantonment land meant for 6,000 Indiramma houses

Hyderabad, June 15 (RAHNUMA): BRS spokesperson Krishank Manne on Monday submitted a representation to Hyderabad District Collector Priyanka Ala, seeking immediate action to safeguard 8 acres of government land in Thokatta, Trimulgherry, reportedly worth around Rs.800 crore.

The BRS leader alleged that the land, with records dating back to 1955, recorded as government (Poramboke Sarkari) property in historical revenue records and past legal proceedings, is now under private control and has been fenced off.

Krishank stated that the land was earlier proposed for construction of 6,000 Indiramma Houses, raising questions over how a public asset earmarked for welfare purposes allegedly slipped into private possession.

He demanded a comprehensive inquiry into the land’s title, classification, possession and legal status, along with a joint verification by revenue, survey and legal authorities. He also sought action against any irregularities and public disclosure of all related records.

The Collector assured the delegation that the matter would be examined and appropriate action would be taken.
