Jupally flags off Indira Mahila Shakti buses

Kollapur, June 17 (RAHNUMA): Minister for Tourism, Culture, Archaeology Prohibition & Excise, Jupally Krishna Rao on Wednesday flagged off buses distributed under the Indira Mahila Shakti scheme in Chinnambavi mandal of the Kollapur constituency.

Following the flag-off ceremony, Jupally Krishna Rao briefly drove one of the newly distributed buses and later interacted with the beneficiaries, congratulating them and wishing them success in their entrepreneurial journey.

Addressing the gathering, the Minister said the Congress government, under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, is firmly committed to promoting women’s economic empowerment and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for Self-Help Group (SHG) members across the State.

He stated that the Indira Mahila Shakti initiative aims to transform women into successful entrepreneurs by providing financial assistance, skill development opportunities, and avenues for income generation. The distribution of buses to women’s groups, he noted, would not only create employment opportunities but also strengthen their financial independence and social empowerment.

The Minister reiterated the government’s dedication to the welfare and empowerment of women and encouraged the beneficiaries to make the best use of the initiative to achieve long-term financial self-reliance and growth.
